Ministry of the KCUYC is Expanding
by Chuck Sailors (KCUYC CEO)
That's right...WERE GROWING!!! Weve received a matching challenge grant, for the 4th year in a row, from a local (anonymous) foundation. This grant is being offered to strengthen the KCUYCs ministry in our current location and to help us replicate our ministry at a second site in urban Kansas City. One possible location, through a potential partnership with Phoenix Family Housing, could be East Hills Village. This low-income apartment complex has 110 apartment units which provide a home to more than 130 young people. The opportunity for ministry is great we are doing our very best to make plans to be obedient to Gods call.
We would like to raise $30,000 to match the first half of the grant's $60,000 challenge award by the end of January I hope you will consider being a part of helping us meet this goal. We are already beginning to establish relationships in this new neighborhood and we are excited about the potential to create a new KCUYC family in another location.
Will you help? Your investment will go a long way toward providing support, discipleship training, leadership development, camps and education to the students and their families we currently serve...as well as the many who will need assistance in 2008 in both KCUYC locations.

P. S. Click here to read a story of an amazing prayer meeting that recently happened at the KCUYC and to read some of the ways God is active in our ministry today. It is events like these that make us want to expand the Centers family and invite more people to be a part of what God is doing.
