Success! Our First Basketball Season

Earlier this year in January, the KCUYC entered a basketball league. One of the students that participated, Jamar Woods, wrote the following story about his experience on the team.

We played some difficult games in our first year! Our team’s record was five wins and three losses. The other KCUYC team won four games and lost four games. We all made it to the playoffs, but the team I played on lost in the first round. The second team won the first game, but the lost the next game they played by ten points.

We might have lost during the playoffs, but we walked out like champions! After the tournament, we went back to the Center and had a little party and decided to play more basketball. The basketball season was fun; the guys around the KCUYC began to come around more often and we even grew closer together. We learned to work together and solve problems. I look forward to next season!
