foreclosures, layoffs, budget crunches and buyouts? Finding out how our economic
woes impact a young person at the KCUYC might be difficult at first glance, but
scratch the surface and you will find moms and dads who have no jobs, a new family

Cooking
Cooking is a passion of mine! I love the smell of spices and the feel of bread dough in between my fingers. I also love hearing from an inquisitive student, "Miss Nicole, what does it mean to dice peppers?"

KCUYC BasketBall Champions!
More than 20 youth players, along with 10 adult coaches and volunteers, came together as a part of KC Urban Youth Center's two basketball teams that participated in a local church basketball league. Over the course of 6 weeks of league and tournament play, KCUYC's teams learned team work, practiced hard, played well, and made some new friends.
