KCUYC Youth Share Gardening with the Wider KC Community

  

Late in the spring of 2009, students from the KC Urban Youth Center were asked to help plant a garden at the Church of the Nazarene in Cameron, Missouri. One of the students asked, "Why did they ask us? We don't know very much about gardening. Isn't there anyone else that knows more?" The vast array of activities that have been available to the KCUYC students this year has been possible through the support several local organizations. Two such organizations are Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Calvary Temple Baptist.
